Stonewater shares Axbridge energy-bill findings at housing innovation event

Stonewater has shared reported energy-bill findings from Mendip View in Axbridge as part of its housing-sustainability work.

Current position

In a 2nd November 2026 update, the housing association said average bills at the development fell by almost £240 between 2023 and 2025. It also reported higher consumption as residents became more comfortable using heating.

Why this matters

The findings concern one development. They are not guaranteed savings for other households or evidence of measured carbon reductions. The release does not isolate tariff, occupancy and other influences.

Next steps

Housing teams can examine affordability and comfort alongside energy performance. Stonewater shared the examples through its Greenoak Centre of Excellence. The source’s unclear consumption unit is omitted rather than converted.
