Plus Dane awards five-year retrofit partnership supporting £10m investment

Plus Dane Housing has awarded Next Energy a five-year retrofit contract supporting £10m of investment in homes across Cheshire and Merseyside.

Current position

The competitive procurement covers improvements to hundreds of homes, including wall insulation, solar panels and replacement windows. Plus Dane announced the appointment on 23rd October 2026.

Why this matters

The work supports the landlord’s target for all homes to reach EPC C or above by 2030. That is an efficiency target, rather than a net-zero claim.

Next steps

The partnership includes planned skills, employment, energy-advice and community benefits. Housing teams can examine how delivery and social value are combined. The announcement does not establish measured savings for the new programme.
