Wolverhampton starts first phase of 179 EPC B council homes

Construction has started on the first phase of new council homes at Wolverhampton's New Park Village estate.
Keon Homes has completed surveys, utility diversions and other enabling works. The programme plans 179 homes across two phases, with an EPC B rating.
The first phase comprises 98 homes over the next 24 months. A further 81 will follow after demolition of remaining maisonettes.
The council describes a £42 million programme funded through its Housing Revenue Account capital budget with Homes England grant support.
For housing teams, this is a phased regeneration milestone. EPC B is an energy-performance target and should not be presented as proof of net-zero operation.
