Published 1st November 2026

Ambition North Wales is seeking specialist support for future shared electric vehicle charging infrastructure through a procurement with a maximum budget of £125,000 including VAT.

The notice invites approaches to transport decarbonisation that could improve access to low-carbon travel and inform infrastructure investment across North Wales. It encourages suppliers to consider different technologies, delivery methods and commercial models.

The proposed commission depends on Ambition North Wales securing Welsh Government funding through the 2026/27 Climate Innovation Programme Fund, DATGLOI. The buyer expected a funding decision during the week beginning 26th October. The notice does not confirm that funding has been awarded.

Completed tenders are due by noon on 13th November 2026, with an award estimated for 2nd December. This is a research and consultancy opportunity, not a confirmed charger installation programme.

Why this matters

Council and public-estate teams can use the commission to examine shared charging approaches before committing to deployment. The notice covers consultancy and research; it does not confirm funding for a charger rollout.
